SBRI – Adjustments by Open-OH
Many people living with long-term conditions like Fibromyalgia, Long Covid, ME/CFS, and POTS face serious challenges at work—especially when it comes to mental health and securing appropriate workplace adjustments. Conditions like anxiety, brain fog, and stigma often make it harder to stay in or return to employment.
Adjustments by Open-OH is a digital occupational health tool designed to support the mental health of individuals with long-term conditions in the workplace. Funded through the SBRI Healthcare programme, this project builds on ELAROS’ existing Open-OH platform to deliver co-designed, evidence-based interventions.
Adjustments by Open-OH helps users initiate, evaluate, and refine workplace adjustments with employers, reducing barriers and promoting well-being. Building on previous Open-OH research, this project enhances the platform with co-designed, evidence-based interventions to address mental stressors such as anxiety, brain fog, and stigma. Users can track health data, access self-management resources, and find specialist support. Through real-world testing and evaluation, the project aims to improve workplace inclusivity, minimise symptom exacerbation, and support sustainable employment.
